This course is for anyone with a Claude account who wants Claude's work to be something they can keep, reuse and share, not just a reply that scrolls away. You need no technical background and you'll write no code. By the end you'll make documents, decks, designs and simple pages with Claude on purpose, and share them with the right people. If you already build and share interactive pages with Claude, the other two courses in the series are a better starting point.

What an artifact is, in one paragraph
Anthropic's help center defines an artifact as "anything Claude makes for you that you'd put in front of someone," such as a design, a deck, a document, a dashboard or a small interactive tool. It opens in its own panel next to the conversation, so you can keep working on it without it getting lost in the chat (What are artifacts). The rest of the course unpacks that definition.
Why a 2026 course: what changed
Artifacts changed a lot in 2026, and much of what you'll find online describes the older version. Since mid-September, Claude Docs and Claude Slides sit alongside Claude Design as built-in artifact types you can start from any conversation (release notes; Anthropic blog). If a tutorial only talks about code, HTML and diagrams in a side panel, it's describing the older experience.
What you'll be able to do
Ask Claude for an artifact on purpose, and recognize when it made one on its own.
Edit an artifact by chatting or by selecting text, move between its versions, and use "Try fixing with Claude" when one breaks.
Find every artifact you've saved and open it on another device.
Write a document with Claude Docs, including tabs and @Claude comments, and export it.
Make a deck with Claude Slides and a visual with Claude Design, and export them.
Choose between a chat answer, a file, a ready-made artifact and a custom page for a given job.
Share an artifact with the right people at the right access level.
Prerequisites
A Claude account on the web (claude.ai) or the Claude desktop app.
Some features in this course need a paid plan. Lesson 01-02 explains exactly which, so you know before you start.
That's all. There's no code in this course.
The roadmap
Module 01 teaches what every later lesson relies on. Module 02 covers the ready-made artifact types. Module 03 shares everything you've made and closes with the capstone.

About 4 hours in total: roughly 3 hours of lessons and practice, plus about an hour for the capstone. A comfortable pace is one module per sitting, three sittings in a week. Every lesson ends with a short Practice section. Do it in Claude before moving on.
How to study in LearnOS
Do it, don't just read it. Each lesson gives you a prompt to try. Keep Claude open in another window and run it. This is a hands-on course.
Test yourself. After a lesson, close it and try to explain it or redo the practice task from memory. Retrieval practice beats re-reading for long-term retention (Roediger & Karpicke, 2006).
Use the flashcards. Review the per-lesson decks on the schedule LearnOS gives you. Spacing your review over days works better than cramming (Cepeda et al., 2006).
Chat with the lesson when a section doesn't land. It answers from the lesson's own sections and cites them.
Keep notes on the prompts that worked for you. They become your personal playbook.
Reading the images in this course
Three kinds of visuals appear in the lessons. Each caption says which kind it is:
Anthropic's images, shown as published on Anthropic's own pages and credited "Image: Anthropic."
Official examples, links to finished artifacts Anthropic publishes to show what's possible.
Course examples and diagrams, made for this course around a fictional company, Kettle & Kite, a made-up tea shop. Diagrams of Claude's screens are simplified drawings, not screenshots. Claude's interface changes often, so labels on your screen may differ slightly.
The capstone
You'll build a Launch Kit for Kettle & Kite's new seasonal tea blend:
A one-page launch brief, written with Claude Docs (Module 02).
A three-slide kickoff deck, made with Claude Slides (Module 02).
A simple launch checklist page, the first artifact you make (Module 01).
In lesson 03-02 you polish all three and share them with a teammate at the right access level. When you're done, you'll have a repeatable kit for any project kickoff, and proof you can take an idea from a sentence to something shareable.
What this course omits
Interactive tools such as trackers, calculators and dashboards. That's course 2, Build Interactive Tools with Claude Artifacts.
Live data from connected apps, shared storage and AI inside a page. That's course 3, Live, Shared, AI-Powered Artifacts.
Claude Code, Anthropic's coding tool, which can also publish artifacts. This course stays in Claude on the web and desktop.
